Solr
Tonight we will be rolling out the first piece of our Solr upgrade. We will be changing all the tag pages to be powered from Solr instead of the Lucene bridge. This should offer far superior speed for these pages although we haven't yet got the distance sorting to work (it's still using the old bridge). This will be changed in the future but given distance sort is not the default option we are proceeding considering the speed benefits of Solr.Categories/Brands with no results
Because we are deploying solr and want to limit the chance of catastrophe we are likely going to push the brand listing fixes into Sunday evening/Monday morning US. This violates our usual deployment policy but as long as we go into the week with the changes we should be able to see any ramifications on monday morning.
